The elected officials in Fairfax seem committed to building
more lanes on all main arteries in the county
as a way to solve the traffic problem. That is not the way to handle the growing
numbers of cars
on the road. The answer is to remove cars form the road by smarter planning and
committing to
rail alternatives to move people through out Fairfax and Northern Virginia.
